Verdant, 125-acre garden with rare plants like the Wollemi pine, plus statuary, greenhouses & cafes.
The garden is so beautiful. The glass structure, something like cottage, all these structures looks amazing. They have created something like rain forest inside that glass building. It was a really good experience to walk around there. The small pond inside the glass building has a beautiful fish. I would definitely recommend to go and visit this place.

Beautiful collection of plants and interesting buildings and displays, really well landscaped.A must see at the moment and until April 2025 is the Dale Chihuly art glass exhibition of which you can see many for free during the day at various places in the grounds. But I recommend you pay for the night visit as you get to see more exhibits and the glass sculptures are incredible illuminated at night.

Beautiful gardens! It was incredibly quiet when I was there too (mid-afternoon weekday) which meant it was very peaceful. The gardens are so well maintained and fantastically green. They're a great place to walk through or spend an afternoon relaxing.

It’s beautiful. Especially I came there when it was the end of autumn, on King’s birthday. There were yellow leaves and everything looked fantastic. It was not too hot not too cold. The beginning of June is the best time to visit the garden.

Adelaide Botanic Garden is a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city, perfect for spending an hour or an entire day. The kiosk overlooking the water serves delicious meals, making it an ideal spot to refuel. The gardens are brilliant, with numerous secluded spots to read, relax, or simply take in the surroundings. This beautiful green space boasts a stunning diversity of plants and picturesque vistas. Timeless yet vibrant, the gardens seamlessly blend old and new. Magnificent water features and lush lawns invite picnics and relaxation. The gardens are a must-visit, and special events like the Dale Chihuly glass show make the experience truly unforgettable. We felt spoiled by the breathtaking glass exhibit, which added an extra layer of magic to our visit. Adelaide Botanic Garden is a true gem, offering something for everyone. Whether you're a nature lover, art enthusiast, or simply seeking serenity, this garden is a must-see destination.

We visited during the Chihuly exhibit so that definitely was our main focus. I know that won’t be available at all times, but definitely worth the trip.Outside of that, the Garden is meticulously maintained with well-labeled trees and other plants. It is home to tons of different animals, mostly birds, and it was quite an enjoyable experience. For my shade lovers, there were plenty of benches in the shade to sit and take a break. Would visit often.

Our visit to Adelaide Botanical Gardens was a delightful escape into nature's beauty. The meticulously landscaped gardens showcased a stunning variety of flora. The serene atmosphere provided a peaceful retreat, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll or a moment of contemplation. The proximity to the city center added convenience, making this botanical haven a must-visit for both locals and visitors seeking a brief respite in the heart of Adelaide.

Went to Illuminate to watch the fire display in the gardens. Was lovely to walk through and experience the different art pieces on display. Lots of areas to view and take nice photos. Ambience was moody!

Beautiful gardens. Wide diversity of plants and vistas to sit and enjoy. Still has a very timeless feel about it, but vibrant and new. Needs wine bars strategically located every 100 metres (minor gripe). Also once the automatic sprinklers got me, so there’s that too. Like an embryonic Skynet having practice shots. But don’t let that spoil your day.

CHIHULY @ Adelaide Botanical GardensOn Saturday (26/10/24) I ventured down to check out the outdoor art exhibition in the Botanical Gardens in Adelaide. The first thing i noticed as I walked into the gardens was the insects, butterflies and dragonflies everywhere. Absolutely beautiful to see.The glass sculptures were amazing, the fantastic use of colours, also where the sculptures were placed worked well and matched the garden really well. They were bright and colourful.Well worth a look !The Botanical Gardens is located in the Adelaide CBD, there's plenty of seating under shaded trees, lush green lawn for you to have a rest and take it all in. The gardens are well maintained. I especially liked the small paths through the gardens. Felt like you were back in nature. An amazing experience. I shall return next year at the change of season to capture some different photos of the exhibition. Credit goes to Jason Lewis who's put in a lot of time and effort at the garden. Kudos to you my friend 👍

Absolutely beautiful gardens and a great place to relax. Lots of different walking paths and some of the tallest eucalyptus trees I have ever seen. There is a free guided tour everyday starting at 1030am near the coffee shop. The highlight was the Amazonia water lilies, which is grown is a special green house.

Missed the start of the tour provided by volunteers for free. Happened upon it 40 minutes late. Guide was happy for us to join and so glad we did. Happens most days at 10.30 and really enhances the experience. Takes about 90 minutes. Absolutely wonderful!!!

The Botanic Gardens in Adelaide are a true oasis.Beautifully landscaped gardens with majestic avenues and breathtaking architecture in the heart of the city. Many individual areas provide information about a wide variety of plants in Australia and from other countries. The rose garden is particularly popular here with roses that have adapted to the hot climate of Australia.Highly recommended!

I spent over 3 hours here - absolutely stunning! Gorgeous for weddings or garden parities. Toilet facilities were decent. Restaurant on site and the wine spot was brilliant too. Wear comfy walking shoes, hat & sunscreen; don’t forget your water bottle

The gardens are excellent. The signage is not so good. Does not match up to activities. Would be great if NO dogs signage was more obvious at the front gate. Currently very small and hidden when the gate is open.

Such a peaceful place to enjoy a picnic, take walks, and find inspiration with family and friends. There are various types of flowers, especially the roses, the maintenance is beautiful, the spaces are clean, there are great public toilets, filtered water to refill your bottle, and a café as well. It's a lovely place.

Although the botanic gardens have lots of disability friendly paths, it's disappointing that the Santos Museum of Economic botany is inaccessible to wheelchairs, walkers, prams etc. Luckily, my husband was able to carry my walker up the stairs while I navigated the steps, but had he been unable to lift my walker I would have missed out on a very interesting tour of the museum. I realise that historical buildings have restrictions on what can be altered. However, I believe that all public buildings should be made accessible to all.

Visited on a weekday with my daughter and grandson from Melbourne. The gardens are beautiful as always, with lots of fragrant roses in bloom. We loved the awesome Chihuly glass sculptures. We are so lucky to have this exhibition here in Adelaide. It's free during the day but there is a charge at night time when the sculptures are illuminated.

The picnic I spent here was very peaceful and fantastic. The weather was perfect under the sun and the sky was very beautiful. I was so happy that I lost track of time. I recommend this place if you want to spend a convenient time. You'll be able to spend a cup of coffee and some spare time. If I come back to Adelaide, I will definitely revisit it.

Beautiful botanical garden with many collection, event they have Indonesia plants collection also. The area is big and not many people visit this place, maybe because I visit in weekday. The access also so easy and close from city centre. No entrance ticket, so it's free to come. There's information board in every kind of plants or area so it's okay to come without tour guide.

A superb garden. A fabulous collection of plants in a beautifully sprawling setting with wonderful buildings , fountains and pathways. There is the most mind blowing exhibition of works throughout the garden and on some of the buildings. This is free throughout the gardens and ticketed in the buildings and at night they are illuminated. On display until April 2025
